I was SO excited to photograph Katie’s Family while in Alaska. She is a photographer (Katie Cannon Photography) in the Northern Anchorage area (Palmer for the locals), and I am always honored when a fellow photog asks me to capture their family. But it also makes me a teensy more nervous. Not only did she hold my workshop at her home, but we stayed overnight there one night, our husbands bonded, my husband bonded with her boys (he’s a kid at heart), she fed us home baked salmon, ground caribou, and blueberry pancakes with blueberries she picked off of an Alaskan mountain! I really enjoyed getting to know her and talk photography and life, REAL friends now! She grew up in Georgia, he in Texas, but they met in Alaska and are raising their family there, and it is a great place for that! Here are some of her fam that I just love.
