Christmas Fashion Part II

Last year, I shared some Christmas Fashion ideas, clothing to wear around the holidays in the traditional green and red. Today, I’ve got a second round for you. I’m a BIG advocate that if you are going to a Christmas party or gathering, you wear Christmas colors! I recognize not everyone feels the same, but if you do, here are a few ideas:

Can you tell I got a little hair trim? I got some swoopy side sort-of bangs. I just needed a little framing around my face, and I love it! Wow, that is a close up picture.

Green Jeans from Old Navy, Gold sequin shoes from Target, cardigan from Old Navy, necklace online. Bracelets from the new H&M that just opened in Austin!

Same necklace as above, shoes Steve Madden (thrifted), cardigan several years old (not sure where), belt from Target a while ago

Boots several years old, new gray jeans from Kohl’s (I love the white wash look), vest (old) from H&M, scarf?, earrings? Both old! My hubby loves when I wear my white collar shirt…

This is not the most flattering out-of-focus picture, but here is another outfit. Super old target shoes, and the cute necklace I got online from a Very jane sale.

Red jeans from Old Navy last year, gold shoes from Target, buttons up the back striped shimmery shirt from The chic orchid.

Linking up to What I Wore Wednesday at The Pleated Poppy.

DO you have a favorite holiday outfit? Did you see my Christmas fashion post from last year, too?

  1. I love all of these outfits!! I think the second one is my favorite though!! And those gold sequin flats are pretty darn fabulous!! You are so pretty!

  2. You look great with your new haircut!!! Merry Christmas! enjoy this time with your family

BTW…I can’t wait for a new love story chapter…how many are you planning to do? I anxiously read every new chapter.

Thank you, Leire, Merry Christmas to you, too! I estimate I have 5-6 chapters still to go! I will try to get another one up before the new year…I know it’s horrible to keep those waiting that care!

  3. Those sparkly flats are PRESH!

  4. Kristen you look SO GOOD!
    Have you lost more weight?
You look so great in each outfit and those red jeans are HANGING off you girl!!!
Well done, YAY YOU and WHAT R U DOING???
    lol…
I need some pointers to get rid of 17 years of “baby” weight!
So I am not picking a fave outfit….they’re all adorable!
I do love those plum shoes though!
    Love your style!
Merry Christmas to you and yours!
And a happy and healthy 2013!

thank you, Alli! I haven’t really lost any more weight, but those red pants are from last year, so yes I can see how them “falling off” may make it appear I’ve lost more! Have you read my weight lost post on my sidebar? Check that out…to keep it off, I now exercise nearly daily and pay close attention to what I put into my mouth (though still enjoy eating).

  5. Your post from last year inspired me to dress in festive colors for the whole week! I made an infinity scarf from a red t-shirt, I bought a new bright green scarf and a new red sweater AND I dug out my red purse and shoes AND my green purse. I guess I’d better start looking for some cute gold (or probably silver) shoes and some hot red lipstick!

LOVE all the outfits up there- thanks for sharing your cute self with us!

    • Kristen Duke says:

Oh, yay! I feel I sometimes go overboard with my holiday festive dress b/c some people don’t care about it at all (evident from gatherings I’ll attend all decked out–and few others are). Glad you pulled out existing accessories to make work with your new ones! Target also had the silver shoes….the red lipstick is fun, too!
