Christmas Tree Farm

Merry Christmas Eve!!! I’ve been wanting to share pictures of our fam cutting down our Christmas tree this year. We actually have a TALL pre lit tree that holds all of my pretty ornaments, but we like to get a REAL smaller tree for the joy of the hunt as well as having one for our mish mash of ornaments gathered throughout the years. Last year when we cut our tree down, it was quite warm, we had shorts on. This year it was SO cold, that we were in and out in about 20 minutes!

  1. My family has always purchased a small tree. However, when I lived in Germany, I spent Christmas with a friends family and all of us went out to the forest and cut a tree down. That was fun :) :) Have a great weekend. Love and hugs from the ocean shores of California, Heather :)

  2. For the last 8 years we have had the tradition of inviting all our family over on Black Friday where we cook a Thanksgiving feast then head out to the tree farm for a hay ride back to the fields to find our tree. We take pictures (I’m getting ready to post them on my blog by the end of the weekend) but the fun is finding your picture from the previous year on the picture wall in the cabin. The owners take a picture of each family every year.

  3. What a fun tradition. I’m not sure if we have a tree farm near us, but now I’m going to find out!

  4. Such happy pictures–love your yellow coat!
