I’m happy to introduce to you today, Jennifer, a fabulous photographer at Warthan Farms, and her lovely pictures displayed in her home. Her home evokes that of the farm life, and it’s just beautiful!
Like most families, we tend to put off family pictures. And then when we do have them taken, we put off printing them.
Over Thanksgiving, I handed my sister-in-law the camera and tried to shake off my awkwardness. That’s right – point a camera (even my own beloved Stella) AT me and I become stiff and I start giggling in this rather unbecoming way.
My photographer friends hate taking pictures of me.
Once I saw these family shots… where I actually loosened up then I knew I had to print them immediately. I adore canvases and wanted a huge wall in our old farmhouse (see the cobwebs?) of us on canvas.
So our new family pictures are now mingled with pictures I have taken of my children… with treasured farm tools no longer in use like this mule collar from days long ago and with other images that we love.
Like this picture of my grandparents…
And of a house that stands in the center of one of our fields…
These images remind us that we are part of something so much bigger than our daily triumphs and tragedies. They help us remember that we are laced together by our love for each other.
