Natalie has been my best friend since we met when I was 15. We spent our high school days together, shared our 2 wardrobes, cried over boys, and laughed endlessly. Now, we have a girls weekend once a year, share stoires of our children, cry as they grow up before our eyes, and continue to laugh with each other.

Vintage Natalie and Kristen. My 16th birthday before our night out on the town! It is so comforting to have a long time friend who knew you then…. and now….and still loves you;) When we fought, we worked it out because we needed our friendship too much. And even those fights weren’t really fights, I don’t think we’ve ever yelled at each other in anger, but misunderstandings that through tears and talking we would always figure it all out. She is the only person who “gets” that it really isn’t so weird that I dated my husbands brother before him…because she did it too;) She and our other high school bestie had a little photo shoot last summer, check it out here.
Natalie graciously offered up her home for my workshop last weekend. She says it was the least she could do after all the pictures I’ve taken over the years of her family, and I accepted that explanation;) Her home is so lovely, it is just eye candy to look around and notice the details. Part 2 tomorrow, you will see more, but today, just the Master. I took pics in this same room when her little girl was a newborn. See those here. Natalie is just like her mother, kind and sweet, and could not hurt a fly. She adores her family, was born to be a mama (see #4 is coming in 6 weeks). She has endured a lot to get these babies here, and I love to watch her love on them.

Here are a whole bunch of shots in just one little spot, in the heart of their home.

I LUV YOW, dear friend;)
Just like me, she’ll have boy, boy, girl, girl….but I’ll bet she’ll have a handful of children more than me. After all, her hubby came from 9, and she is oldest of 6.

Yes, my awesome bangs, and that sweet purple polka dot dress! My mom made that and I remember LOVING it! So funny. I also went and looked back on our pictures from last year with you and Em, sigh of relief, I will get a normal body back soon. It’s funny how when you’re pregnant you forget what it’s like to NOT be pregnant.
Kris, thank you so much. I LOVE having these. It’s so fun to remember this time of our life, and you have such a way of capturing it. I can never thank you enough for sharing this talent with me. You have been such a kind and generous friend, and I love you like my own sisters. How was that for a long comment? Thanks for your vote of confidence in the child bearing department! We’ll see what we can do.
Natalie & Matt — you have such a beautiful family! Congratulations on #4!!
Oh how I love my friends!!! Nat, you look gorgeous and radiant and happy and I LOVE to see your family in action. I cannot believe that I have never seen you really pregnant before, how is that possible?! Bad friend I am! I am so so excited for baby girl and so so sad that I couldn’t make it this year.
I love you, you gorgeous girls (that means you too Kris!)
Cute, cute cute!
