This family was so easy to photograph–two gorgeous teen girls, who along with their parents, were happy to be there! I took some in their yard by the pool, and some at a nearby pier. I just loved their color coordination as well.

Favorite picture? Ā I enjoyed this session a lot!

As always your photos are wonderful! I think the first is my favorite, though
They will be pleased with these photos! Great job!
I think the one of them on the couch with their dog is my favorite. Beautiful family, and a great job of capturing them.
The backgrounds were gorgeous and the colors really popped! Wish I could get a family photo that great!
I love all of the pictures – I don’t think I can pick just one favorite!! I love the close up family picture with Daisy (she even looks like she is smiling) and all of the informal pictures. I love the picture of the girls, too! Thank you so much for taking the pictures – they are absolutely beautiful!!
handsome family. i especially like the rabbit ears.
Love the piggy back picture!

Kristen-
I love your photos! I am just getting started in my photography business. I have done many photo shoots the past couple of months an day clients have been very happy. Each session is still a bit stressful for me, though. I wanted to know if you had any tips about helping your families relax and be themselves. How much do you help/direct with posing? Do you only shoot during the “golden hour” times, or when it is convenient for your families?
And and all advise you might have for a beginning photography business owner is appreciated!!
Thanks!
Heather
I do choose the times: morning or evening. I’ll photograph a senior/individual in the middle of the day, but it’s tough to work around high noon shadows with a group. I look for open light in all cases for prettiest images. I prefer candid, but at all times, I know it is my job to direct clients whether in a pose or action shot.
One more question…what kind of post-processing do you do? How do you share the photos with your clients?

Heather, I’ve covered some of this in past posts, check in the photography section on my home page under photo tips. I share online albums with my clients when the gallery is ready to view. I use photoshop exclusively (in the tips).
