Soooo, hope you don’t mind, but I have a handful of “personal stories” this week to go along with my family stories last week. I didn’t plan to have it that way….I’m a “blog by the seat of my pants” kinda girl and have about 25 blog post ideas in my head/written on my calendar at the same time, but don’t always plan out what comes next til the night before! Next week, I’ve declared… Continue Reading
Here are two more great families from my petite sessions last weekend….I loved the black, gray, and purple in the first family with wonderful 5 fun kids! And when this momma told me that her family had nothing but sports jerseys, I said it was perfect, and to wear that! I’m so glad they did, their personalities really shined through! The End!
I had a handful of petite session last weekend, and I wanted to share a sneak peek for the families that are ok with a little internet exposure;) All of them were a delight, and luckily the 100% chance of rain held out for us! I’m lucky to be getting this post out today, so no extra details, just happy pics…enjoy!!! First up is Crystal and her cute family. She is making a quilt for… Continue Reading
If you’re local and want pictures taken, I’ve just added 2 petite session time slots coming up. I’ll just hold these 2, and no more petites until after Christmas. I’ve restructured all of my policies and pricing. In the name of ”scaling back”, I am now offering all inclusive packages with all of my portrait sessions. This means that with each session, I will edit the best images, and include them on a disc or thumb… Continue Reading

What a cute little family. I met them for the first time at our session, and come to find out, they live a hop, skip, & a jump away from me! These kids were adorable and the daughter was game to do anything with all smiles. The little guy was happy if he was close in proximity to his momma. This is my last petite portrait session of the year.
I first met the mama of this family when she came to my Say NO to Auto workshop in August. After the workshop, she excitedly emailed me some fun images she had taken of her kids that she took on manual. I’m so happy she shared with me! This is a pic of myself and my assistant, Roxanna. Come to find out, she was also at that August workshop, and these two were partners in… Continue Reading
To my readers, you’re not seeing a whole lot of background change, but to the people in the images, it is their beautiful families that they come here to see today. I got to photograph this family a few years ago on a chilly New Years Day, it’s delightful to see the kids all grown up. They were so cooperative and smiled easily. This mama is one tough cookie–leads me in a kickboxing class each week.… Continue Reading
I was excited to photograph this next family because I hadn’t met them before. She said she found me online and looked at lots of local photographers before asking me to photograph her family. That was delightful to hear;) The children were adorably sweet, and though there was a chill in the air, happy smiles!
I started something new this year, my petitie portrait sessions. I recognize that not everyone wants a full session, so I’ve scheduled one day every other month that I will stack a bunch of petite’s in a row. These are 15-20 minute sessions, mainly for posed images. This was my biggest stacking yet, and it worked out wonderfully! What is actually toughest for me is less time to chat and get to know the families, as… Continue Reading
We just got back from a 10 day drive from Austin to Salt Lake City, Utah. My 4 kids did AWESOME and it was actually quite fun! Don’t ask me to do it again for at least a year though. We saw lots of scenery and of course I took tons and tons of pictures. I will just post a few of the bridals I took for my sister in law (hubby’s little sis) for… Continue Reading

I’m so excited about these cute little cards:) I just ordered 4 sets this morning, so I will have images to share with you when they arrive early next week. I also got the cutest little drawstring heart organza bags to hold them.
