My friend Jessica told me she wanted to find a photographer to take her family picture when she was on vacation. I told her I know photographers all over the country and would be happy to find a good one for her. When I realized that Ocean City was near San Diego and when we both realized we were going to be there at the same time, she got so excited at the idea of me photographing them. Wow, that is a true friend. She said she thought about asking me to fly out there, but didn’t think I’d want to just for that. Humbled by her comments, I told her I thought we could figure out a way to do it. Plus, I love meeting the families of my good friends, and so fun to meet up with a friend away from home.
Last Friday I met her parents, 6 siblings, in laws, and nephews. Here are just a handful of portraits taken on the beach just before the sun went down.

My husband was there as my assistant and held one camera while I photographed with the other camera. I’d switch for lense purposes as needed. He had the idea to pull aside one of the boys to “hold the sun” as it set. Lucky for him, I already has the settings set for a silhouette, because this turned out awesome!
There are lots more, but I hope these will tide you over for a week until the rest are done.
