Over Thanksgiving holiday, my parents, 3 brothers, and our families all met up at a beach house near Port Aransas, Texas. It’s so fun to all be together, and the weather was so lovely! I was SO delighted to take these family portraits. Lets just say we go WAAAAY back. My mom and this momma’s momma are dear friends, and this momma’s brother married my best friend. Got it? Good. This family was so easy to photograph–two gorgeous teen girls, who along with their parents, were happy to be there! I took some in their yard by the pool, and some at a nearby pier. I just loved their color coordination as well. Favorite picture? I enjoyed this session a lot!
This is my new favorite type of portrait session. I love photographing a family in their home, doing what they love to do. When I suggested it to my friend for their upcoming session, she was thrilled about the idea, and I heard later that her husband was just as excited! Here are two more great families from my petite sessions last weekend….I loved the black, gray, and purple in the first family with wonderful 5 fun kids! And when this momma told me that her family had nothing but sports jerseys, I said it was perfect, and to wear that! I’m so glad they did, their personalities really shined through! The End!

I am so delighted that I got to capture Emily and her cute little boy. When she told me that she’s usually behind the camera, and hardly in any pictures with him, I had to make sure that wasn’t the case for long.
