We’re Kat & Melinda and we blog over at Home. Made. Interest.. We’re so excited to be here today sharing our all natural Red, White, and Blue popsicles with you!  I don’t know about you,  but in the summer we go through A LOT of popsicles at my house.  So, last year I made the decision to stop buying them and start making them.  This way we would know exactly what was in them.

It turns out making your own popsicles is super-easy.  And there are endless flavor possibilities. It’s also a great way to get the kiddos to eat something healthy without even knowing it. I had all of the fun upcoming summer patriotic holiday celebrations on the brain when I made these popsicles.   But they were so tasty I will be making them all summer long.

How to Make Healthy Popsicles for Kids

All you need for this healthy popsicle recipe is vanilla yogurt, fresh raspberries, and fresh blueberries. You can also use the sweetener of your choice.   Honey, agave nectar, sugar, or nothing at all, whatever floats your boat.  I put the raspberries in the blender and pureed them with 2 tablespoons of agave nectar (if you are using sugar, or nothing, you may want to add a little water to help the blender out).  Then I poured the puree into my popsicle molds.

If you don’t have popsicle molds you can find them just about anywhere.  Walmart, Target, and the Dollar Store sell some fun, inexpensive popsicle molds.  But you can also just use a paper cup and a popsicle stick!

Once you have your raspberry layer in your molds, nest you add the yogurt. For the blueberry layer, mix the remainder of your yogurt with the blueberries and pour them into the molds. Then insert your sticks and put them in the freezer until they are frozen solid.
