I don’t have an official post about the skype mentoring, so I am making one right now. I have had so many people ask if I am traveling to their town for a workshop and though I’d love to travel around the country/world to do so, it just isn’t feasable with my family dynamics right now. So, I schedule workshops where I plan to travel (our family reunion in California this summer, a friends wedding in Utah last weekend). I have considered a weekend trip to Arizona or the East Coast, and if there is a big enough group of 12 or more, I would, but not until I have a solid group.
I have loved the skype mentoring that I have already conducted and I feel like it is the perfect answer to those that want to go to the workshop, but it isn’t close enough to them. If you decide to do it, it can be whatever you’d like. For some, I teach my beginners workshop one on one. I run that just like my workshop with our cameras in hand finding buttons and talking heavily about ISO, aperture, and shutter speed. You asking questions where you need them. For others, they are more advanced and have business and photoshop questions. You decide what you want and get the individual attention. If you go the more intermediate route, I ask that you type questions out and send them to me 24 hours before we skype so I can be better prepared and use the time more wisely….but I know questions come up as we go and thats fine too.
1 hour=$150
2 hours=$250
I prefer one hour and can usually cover a lot of ground, and most people choose this option. If we go 10-15 minutes over, its not a big deal and I don’t charge more, but if we do 2 hours, I will send an additional paypal link. I usually conduct these on weekdays at 8pm central, but willing to consider another time if that doesn’t work.
Any questions? I seriously have a love of sharing, and would LOVE to hold everyones hand that is trying to figure things out, but my time is so limited and I just can’t do that. It basically talks about finding the best light, lenses and camera gear, posing suggestions for candid and smiley shots, and some basic photoshop techniques with screen shots. It’s my entire 2 hour workshop in a nutshell…I’m just not there to walk you through it (unless we skype;) The notebook is priced at $25 for the 22 full pages.

I want to know why we aren’t Skype friends already.
If by East Coast, you mean the Boston area, then I am totally in! I shoot in manual, and am currently just loving photographing as a hobby but would love to start to shoot photos professionally someday. I have no idea how to begin!
I am still very interested in participating in your class on March 10th in DE. We had to purchase a new computer so my funds are limited. I am hoping next Friday (pay day) I can take the funds to pay you for the class. I might have a friend coming along as well. Would you mind sending another paypal request?
