I held my third Say NO! to auto workshop on Saturday, second in Austin. It was great! Last time, I kicked my family out of the house for 3 hours, this time, it worked to lay my baby down for a nap and banish the family to an upstairs room to watch a movie. It all went swimmingly until my baby woke up with what my husband called a nightmare and he couldn’t console her. It was just a few minutes of me grimacing with a smile and after a little cup of her baby java (whole milk) she was all better. I did that because my hubby raced in a triathlon that morning (yes, there will be pictures to share) and I knew he was exhausted.
After 2 hours of instruction, I took the class out to the field across the street from my home (where I took the pics of my kids with the feathers) to practice. Though the sun was pretty high in the sky, we were able to find a good spot. I first snapped a shot of the group without me….
Then I set my camera up on a low tree trunk but couldn’t check to see if it got everyone because it was leaning against the tree…
Then realized I was zoomed in. I zoomed out and got us…pretty good. They were all quite concerned the teetering camera would fall, but it held strong. Even got a fun green sun flare;)
Once again, lots of fun for me to share my craft! My next workshop is in Utah at the end of May. Still have some slots if anyone is interested!
P.S. I got to photography my first BIRTH this morning…It was so amazing! I will share some of those soon;)
