Hi there friends!
My name is Kristyn and I blog over at Lil’ Luna!
I’m so happy to be here today on Kristen’s blog!! I was able to meet her a few months ago in April, and I just love the girl. Not only is she super talented, but she is so nice and fun, and I loved getting to know her better!!!

Today, I was asked to share with you a fun summer memory from my childhood. There were so many to think of but the memories I remember most involve eating at my grandma’s and playing with my cousins.
Every Sunday after church and naps, my family as well as the rest of the extended fam would make their way over to Grandma Luna’s. We ate, chatted, played outside and made so many wonderful memories. So much of what we did revolved around celebrations for birthdays and holidays, and of course – the food!! My family is hispanic and we loved having potlucks and trying out new recipes (My mom, aunts and grandmas played a huge role in my baking & cooking skills!!)
These next pics are of me when I turned 1 year old. Although I don’t remember it, these childhood pics stood out to me for a few reasons:
1 – It is of me at my 1 year old celebration (we got together for EVERY birthday in the fam!)
2 – My cousin (to the left in the top pic) is in one and she’s one of my best friends today because of all the time we spent together as little ones.
3 – I realized that my youngest child, Evie, looks a lot like me (And I love seeing that especially because my other two who are toe-heads look nothing like me!)

{My baby, Evie, who just turned ONE in March}
What’s even more fun is the fact that we keep these family traditions going today. We still get together with the extended family but only on major holidays, but all the other small holidays and birthdays are celebrated with my siblings, parents and their kids. My kids love nothing more than eating some good food, playing outside and spending time with their cousins! Fortunately, we’ve been doing a lot of that this summer so far and plan to spend the rest of the summer doing the same things.
To make sure the kids have extra fun, I even compiled a fun list of 30 Summer Activities to do with the kiddos.
Be sure to come on over and check it out!
Thanks for having me today, Kristen, and I hope everyone has a wonderful summer!
