I’m giving you a little sneak peek into my Living Room, which I plan to reveal in full at the end of the month. I used Urban Walls Vinyl Decals in the shape of hexagons, and I LOVE the way it looks!
I wanted to do something interesting to this big wall. I’d done a stencil before, and love the idea of vinyl, if it’s the right shape and look. It was actually back in August when I was trying to think of ideas for our 10th Blog Hop Honeycomb post that I was thinking of doing this. I was searching for honeycomb shapes on Pinterest, and saw some pretty amazing images that came from Urban Walls site, such as this one:
I fell in love with this look! Then I bounced around their site and saw all of these great ideas:
I actually contacted Urban Walls and asked if they wanted to exchange product for a review, and they agreed. I started this in mid September, and couldn’t decide the shape I wanted to go. I kept staring at it, walking by thinking about it, asking friends as they came into my home. One friend actually handed them to me as I stood on my piano and helped me form the shape it’s in now. Then Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas happened. Now I’m finally feeling happy with how it looks. A splash of interest, subtle, not too overwhelming.
Here is my daughter holding one of the sheets I got. I used about 5 full sheets for what I have up on my wall. I can’t decide if I should add one or two more on there, what do you think?? I got silver decals, and they are on my gray wall.
It was nice that they came already perfectly spaced apart, so I could transfer them. Check out Urban Walls, and come back to see my room reveal at the end of the month!
Which decal do you love most from the collage image I showed?
