For those of you that are new(er) to my site, on Wednesdays lately, I’ve been joining in a series called What I Wore Wednesday.  I started that about a year ago when I found The Pleated Poppy’s blog.  It is a link up party with bloggers coming to share what they wore as they “shopped from their closet” to mix and match pieces and help others think outside of buying new clothes! I love to look at those that have linked up and get new ideas for how to change things up. Sometimes I post 4 or 5 outfits that I wore the previous week, sometimes just one. It is pretty much guaranteed that every Sunday I dress up for church, so I at least like to share that outfit (as I have today) and I generally have a few others. It seems like lately I’ve stayed in my gym clothes far too many days, so that’s just no fun to share. I also love my p.j.’s. Much to some of your dismay, my life isn’t super glamorous. My friend joked as she dropped her son off for the 2nd day in a row, “Is this Kristen’s Day Care service?” It just so happened that I watched her son yesterday so she could go on a field trip with her older child, and then today I hosted our little toddler play group. Jammies, people. I love ‘em.

Here is one of my favortite casual outfits, though not very thoughtful in the way of styling. My new Denim shorts from Downeast Outfitters. I took a gamble when I ordered them a few weeks ago because I had lost some weight and assumed I was a smaller size, but wasn’t sure I would be in their clothing. But, it worked and I love ‘em! Love all the stitching everywhere, and I’m a big critic of pockets on my rear, and this passes the test! Lower pockets makes one’s bottom look smaller.

I got my earrings from my friend Kristyn with Lil’ Luna at SNAP. They match the green in this shirt perfectly! The shirt from Old Navy a year or so ago (I love anything with a beach cruiser bike on it), flip flops also from O.N. I got my hot pink sunglasses quite a while ago…not sure where, but I love ‘em! P.S. My 3 year old took these with my phone. She chopped me in half in the others…

This is my church outfit the past week. I really wanted to wear my new Target wedges that I showed off last week with my hot pink pants. I realized I had a very similar shade in a cardigan, and they were quite identical.  At first, it was a bit TOO matchy for me, but then I added in the splashes of pink and voila! I got my head wrap at the Queen Bee Market at SNAP, from the vendor, Vintage Rose Wraps. I also got a belt from there. You like the wind blown look below?

I got my pink flower to click onto my camera bag from Hobby Lobby.  It was a last minute “add on” to this outfit as I was running out the door (my family waiting in the car) when I saw it just sitting on my desk. I felt a little bolder wearing it, but I just LOVE hot pink and turquoise together. Belt from Target a few months ago…cardi from Banana Republic outlet a year ago, skirt like 10 years old but with a drawstring waist. Love this skirt.

Tried to have my hubby get a close up of the head wrap here…Then of course my girls wanted “in” a pic…so got one of them together. I made my older daughters necklace for myself last year, her dress from Gap Outlet, and younger cardi & dress from Target last year.

My son also wanted to show off his muscles and the crafty wrestling belt he won from a trampline wrestling tournament the day before (neighborhood boys thing)

Lastly, a phone pic I took of my fashionista daughter rockin’ HER hot pink jeans with yellow and blue’s to accent (and my same head wrap above).

Go to The Pleated Poppy and What I wore Wednesday check out all the other’s who linked up!
