It’s the first Sunday of the month, so I’ve got more scriptures to memorize! I’ve already shared two in January and two in February. I shared some tips on memorizing in the January post, and why I see it’s important, too. I’m trying to tackle some of the more complicated, yet deeply profound verses. In my faith, the teenagers in high school attend a scripture study program called seminary.  In many areas, it is early morning (6am for me back in the day) before school. Each year there is a book of scripture to study, and they are assigned 25 scriptures to memorize that year, and they are affectionately called: Scripture Mastery verses.  I’ve pulled most of these from that list.

First up is Matthew 11:29-30. It’s such a FUN design, so grateful for Jessika and her helping me to share my vision!  I especially love the “heavy laden” picture and the “easy” button! Picture visuals really help me learn!

Memorizing Scriptures

I love the symbolism of the YOKE, thinking of the Savior on one side, and me on the other, that if I walk with HIM, my burdens WILL be lighter.

I also have one for a scripture in the Book of Mormon:  Alma 37:6-7. I know not everyone studies regularly from that book, but there are some really fabulous scriptures that apply to all religions. We memorized this in our family last fall.  We have the first half down pretty well, but kinda trailed off in the middle. I think this visual will really help our family get to the end of it. In a nutshell: By small and simple things are great things brought to pass.  I love the hand at the end showing “very small means.”

I just love having a resource of memorized scriptures in my brain, to lift me up when I need it. I also feel strongly to help my kids to memorize scriptures so that they can grow to be faithful and rely on these words to get them through tough times.

Hope you are enjoying these scriptures!

I’ve also created a PDF version of 25 Scriptures to Memorize in the Old Testament with smaller bookmarks, too. Check it out! {Click image below or link to left}
