If you don’t know by now, I’m obsessed with taking pictures. It’s too bad I can’t just BLINK and take a picture, I have to actually pull out some sort of device to capture a memory I want to freeze. Which is nearly every moment in life, so I guess it’s good that I have to pull out a device, you know, to be selective. You may also know that I love to Say NO to Auto on my big fancy camera, because I like beautiful pictures in beautiful light. But I don’t carry that big dawg around everywhere I go. But I do take my phone just about everywhere, and I’ll take any help I can get to preserve my precious picture moments. I’m excited to introduce to you (and offer a giveaway) of the LyveHome device to do just that! Keep on reading.

I’ve often been stressed about losing my phone, or my computer crashing, my phone breaking, and losing all the memories I’ve captured. I kinda lay awake at night stressing about pictures sometimes. Is that strange?

I try to back up often, but I’m forgetful. Then comes the problem where I take too many pictures, go to take another, and the memory on my phone is full. I have to delete a few to take one, and so on and so forth. Annoying. This happens quite regularly to me.

Then there was the incident on my Tennessee trip where I actually dumped photo’s onto my laptop to make room for more, double checked to make sure they were there, deleted them on my phone, only to realize there were just a few that got lost in the shuffle and I can’t find them on my laptop. So they are gone. Boo hoo. Life goes on, right? But I’m sad I don’t have those few.

It’s a lot to remember, a lot of shuffling around, a lot of uncertainty with my memories.

I’ve recently been introduced to the LyveHome device that AUTOMATICALLY backs up my phone images (by date) without even being home on my wi-fi!  Woohoo!! And not just my phone, my husband and kids all synched up their phones/devices so all of their pictures are stored in our joint account in a mysterious cloud in the sky. It has 2TB of space (approx. a million photos), which is amazing!!  And not just devices, but my computer images, too! Not RAW files (which I shoot on my big camera, then convert to JPG) but all JPGs AND videos. Talk about peace of mind!

external hard drive

It’s a cute little device that hangs out in my home, and my kids can watch our memories flash by. It’s got a touch screen, too, and controls via the computer or phone as well.  The device doesn’t have as many controls to delete and such, but I can do that on my phone or computer. That way, I don’t need to keep all 20 images I took in one setting, just the best.

photo storage

Since having this device, I’ve felt much better about the images taken on my phone. I can delete on my phone while I’m out, and double check on the Lyve app to make sure they are stored there before doing so (though I don’t have to, it’s automatic). You can actually bring together images from old computers, external hard drives, etc. just use the USB port or SD card slot on the side to import those images.  This is SOOO helpful for my photography business as well, client images are safe.

Don’t we live in a fancy day and age?!? Wow!

I will be sleeping much more soundly at night, now;)

Love this product idea… I, too, worry about packing up pics or loosing them… And I’m like the man in the video with all my pre-digital pics. I have tubs of pics dating back to muddle school and beyond. Anyone else?!

  11. Sonia Mazur says:

I find that I have too many copies of my pictures just cause I keep backing them up everywhere. I also lay awake wondering if I’ve done enough to preserve our pictures. I learned from the video that it acts like a slideshow of some sort when importing pics! Thanks for the chance to win!!

  12. Gabby Adams says:

This is amazing. Ever since losing all my cell phone photos in one big crash, I’m pretty obsessive about backing up my pictures & videos in duplicate. I love how automatic this is. It seems pretty versatile, too, with all the different devices and options.

  13. Hi Kristen, thanks for bringing such a wonderful solution to your readers’ attention – I am like you – also stressing out about loosing my photos. And with 2 little kids, I am snapping pics away with my phone a lot! To loose those memories will be a catastrophe for my family!!! I love how this device is integrated with so much technology that surrounds us and for sure the automatic backup is the best!!! Thanks again!

  14. Carol says:

Thanks for sharing this, Kristen. I just blogged the last two days about getting memories off your phones and computers before they crash and preserving “our stories”. Lyve is the perfect product for doing that. Looks simple. No matter what the source I can back them all on one device and enjoy instant gratification of watching!

  15. Carla says:

What a great way to have all your pictures safely saved, but still accessible.

  16. Michelle says:

I love how simple it is and how it does it automatically. I never remember to move pictures from my phone!

  17. Erin+P says:

Wow! I need this! I’m a total momarazzi and this is the stuff dreams are made of! I love the instant gratification the most by far…sometimes I feel like my images are ‘stuck’ on whatever decide they are on and them I’m hurrying up to load them to get one particular image for something but then the others are ignored. At least this way they would get some face time and I can already see all 3 of my kids huddled around it chatting and giggling about the memories! Thanks for the opportunity!

  18. Julie says:

I love this device! So so smart. I love that it syncs them by date and seems really easy to sort through and organize your pictures. I also love the slideshow feature on the box itself, so cool! More updated version of those digital picture frames! Haha

  19. Jennifer says:

I love that I can view images on any of my devices!

  20. Joy says:

I like that this device is compatible with so many other devices. We no longer have iPhones (we’ve switched to Android), but still have an iPad, as well as multiple digital cameras. Not to mention, I tend to procrastinate when it comes to backing pictures from my phone onto my computer or putting them on our digital picture frame.

  21. Jennifer says:

What a great device. I have trouble keeping my photos organized across all our electronic devices. This looks like it could help, save time and a good backup.

  22. Melissa says:

Wow! I’m terrible about remembering to backup my photos! I never print them anymore–haven’t in years. I had a scare once & thought I’d lost all of my photos of my then-3month old! You’d think I ‘d do better after that experience. Something like this would be such a help since my memory obviously isn’t much of one!

  23. faith says:

I am constantly having to delete pics on my phone in order to take new ones. This would be amazing to have!

  24. I’ve accidentally deleted so many pictures while trying to back them up. Oh the irony! I love the sync with my phone feature so I can deleted them when I “run out of room.”

  25. Autumn says:

What a neat little device! I love that it backs images up from the iPhone instantly!!!! I have so many pictures of my daughter on my phone and it’d be awesome to have these automatically backed up!!

  26. Alayna says:

This sounds awesome. My pictures are all over the place and finally having them someplace central would be much less stressful.

  27. amy j. says:

great device! i love how “instant” you can view pics in this digital age.

  28. Cheryl Jackson says:

Oh I need this ! My husband list some of our first grandsons pictures years ago from the computer and I’ve never let him live it down. Thus would be awesome!

  29. Nicole says:

This looks so amazing! I would love it. I am like you. I worry about making sure I have a back-up of my pictures. I used to take almost all of my pictures with my camera, but am relying on my phone more and more. That automatic back-up would be such a time saver!

  30. Mary-Alice Swanson says:

It’s a back up hard drive and display all in one! Great idea!

  31. Loving this idea. I’m like you and often forget to back my phone up to my computer and have lost photos before! Would love one of th ese.

  32. DianeB says:

    I love this giveaway.
I would like to have pictures from my phone on display all the time 🙂
    Thank you!

  36. Jo Skidmore says:

I love that you can upload right from your phone. I have an eye-Fi memory card in my camera and it’s very similar in that you just have to hit a button and the photos are transferred. No transferring cards around and no need for card readers.

  37. Leigh says:

I need this so much! I love that it will sync even if you’re not on your home wifi and I love you connect it to your tv.

  38. I absolutely love the automatic upload from devices and the fact that there is a way to insert a memory card from a traditional camera! This would make my life so much easier when trying to organize my thousands of pictures of my twins! By the way, they’re not even two yet, so I better get a Lyve quick before my obsession devastates me by losing everything! Would love to win one. Thanks for hosting the giveaway.

  39. Michaela says:

It updates while you’re away! That’s awesome. Perfect for traveling!

  40. Wendy says:

What a fabulous product to organize all my photos and keep them safe! I back up to the cloud – but to have the app and ability to instantly save and share?! WOW!! Wonderful! As a lifelong photographer, I would really appreciate having this!
Thanks for the info and, of course, I’d like to win!
    God bless,

  41. Julie says:

I need this to impress my kids haha! What a great piece of technology to have. Love the Lyve Home!

  42. Nicole says:

Love this idea. Always want to get a digital frame, but this is even better!

  43. Jan says:

Wow! This is awesome! I’m always worried about losing my photos. I’ve had 2 external hard drives go down. So I back everything up on 2 external devices. I wonder what would happen if the LyveHome went down. Wonder if all your pictures would still be available on a cloud somewhere. Thanks for introducing us to this cool device.

  44. Melanie says:

I love that it automatically syncs from my phone right to the device, and also can do so from my kids devices. This would have saved A LOT of tears last month when my daughter lost all of her photos from not doing a backup at all. Please please please pick me!

  45. Kim+G says:

What a cool way to store photos. I love how you can display the photos on multiple devices. The size of the cloud storage is awesome, too. Many times, a person is limited to the size when doing cloud storage, so I never use it, but to be able to store about 1 million photos is really awesome. It also looks very user friendly and easy. Thanks for sharing this.

  46. This is really cool! When the music started on the video, I was thinking, “Oh, I hope this doesn’t make me cry!” Ha. 🙂 I really like that it plays a slideshow of the photos. My kids would enjoy that. 🙂

  47. Rachael says:

This would be so awesome to win! It would definitely put my mind at ease knowing that my photos were protected! I actually really liked how thoughtful the video was. The hubby being all sentimental over the pictures and the wife starting a new tradition for their family. It’s crazy to me to think of how my kids will view their childhood pictures when they grow up!
    Thank you for the oppurtunity!

  48. Karen says:

It seems so easy to use and it does so much. Since I have so many devices this seems like a great way to keep it all in one place. Very interested in this product.

  49. Laura Williams says:

I so need this thing! I am the worst at organizing my pics. and my youngest is always deleting them off my phone. I’ll be adding this to my wish list!

This looks like a totally awesome storage application. I would love to own one and even if I don’t win I may have to ask Santa for one. Here’s wishing me lots of random luck.

  53. Katherine says:

I hate deleting photos off my iphone even after I’ve copied them onto my computer. I want to be able to view them all on my phone at anytime. With the Lyve app, it appears that it’s possible without running out of memory since it stores everything and is accessible by phone. I also like it automatically downloads photos.

  54. Karen Peterson says:

Love that you can view instantaneously and also the hook up to the TV; learned that I don’t want to live in a house that is all windows;)

  55. Danielle says:

Backs up you photos and a slideshow? Pure genius! Would love one!

  56. Lynette Jacobsen says:

I must have one! I love it! I learned that it downloads pictures automatically. Love that you can also download from a memory card.

  57. Sharlene Piscitelli says:

Wow ! Seems like a fantastic device! I was excited to see that you can store and view not only images from your phone but also photos from a camera’s SD card.

  58. Chris says:

LYVE…..this is an awesome, awesome product! I feel in love with it–especially after watching the video! I love how you can watch the pictures on your TV and how easy it is to get the pics of both your phone and your camera. I would LOVE to win one of these! I am also beginning a side photography business and this would be IDEAL to use as a tool in my business. Thank you for introducing me to it.

  59. Deb A. says:

I learned that it downloads pictures automatically. Love that you can also download from a memory card. I must have one. Love it.

Oh my! That is a fabulous little creation. I’d love one. And how fun for the kids to se the images flasing by during the day.

  61. Gale says:

I liked that it showed her getting the photos from the iphone… (which I’m having trouble doing right now since I can’t download them directly to my linux PC, but it shows a flash drive so I’m thinking maybe I could with this.)
