For those new around here, I like to occasionally share the outfits I’ve assembled and link up to What I Wore Wednesday at The Pleated Poppy. It’s a way for me to a) Be accountable for getting dressed in something other than my workout clothes (notice only 3 outfits below;) and b) try to help inspire others because I get SO much inspiration by looking at all the other gals that link up. I have a love of beautiful clothes, and currently I’m trying to shop my closet more than the stores as I’m trying to be thrifty. It helps to see how others put colors or clothing items together that I might not normally do–but have! Click on the link above for more inspiration.

Now here are 3 outfits I wore this past week, my 7 year old daughter as my photographer:

I got the boots at DSW a year ago, the rest of the outfit is so old, I have no idea. I pull this skirt out each fall, and wear it once or twice. I also love the buttons on the top. The green bag is a laptop bag that I bought just before baby #4 as my diaper bag. It’s great for church to stuff books and crayons for my little one.

I fell in love with this tan lace top that I saw on The Chic Orchid. It has daily deals, and I’m pretty sure they delete posts when then sell out. Run by my friend Tam–formerly Sew Dang Cute Crafts. They announce a lot on their facebook page.

Also bought the shirt below from them (I love unique items that others around me can buy, so if you are my local friend, don’t bother looking them up!) Ha–only slightly kidding;) I love the buttons on the back.

Not the most flattering images of me, but you get the outfit gist.

Also, I’m guest posting today at 5 pm Eastern at my friend Nikki’s Chef in Training. If you want to see the yummy treat that these cuties helped me with, check it out!

  1. Great outfits! I love the Chic Orchid top…so unique and beautiful. Found you via The Pleated Poppy! šŸ™‚

  2. Love that fall outfit!

    • Kristen Duke says:

Thanks! I wish I could wear it better all year, but it’s also wool, so really just best to leave it for the fall!

  3. Love the jeans too! What type are they?

    • Kristen Duke says:

They are old navy skinny jeans, but a little big, and this angle makes them look really weird (my daughter is shorter than me taking the picture).

  4. Your top in the second photos is gorgeous!! Love it!

  5. Such great outfits! I love it!

  6. Love that skirt in the first photo and that shirt in that second. So pretty!

  7. That lace top is super cute and you look fab wearing it! Love it. I actually clicked the link to get one for myself and they are sold out in my size. Bummer.
