Homemade Croutons

Delicious croutons made in your own oven!  Homemade croutons are 100 times better than anything you buy in the store.

Ingredients
  • 12 slices white sandwich bread or a loaf of french bread sliced cut into ½-inch cubes about 6 cups
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 T Italian Seasoning
  • Salt
  • Pepper
Instructions
  1. Pre Heat oven to 400 with a rack on the top shelf of the oven.  

  2. Combine bread cubes, butter, seasoning, salt and pepper to taste in medium bowl. Toss well with spatula to combine.

  3. Spread croutons in single layer baking sheet (with edge). Bake croutons for 8 to 10 minutes until golden brown and crisp, turning halfway.  

  4. After cooling, croutons can be stored in an airtight container or plastic bag for up to 3 days.
