  • 16  ounces medium cheddar cheese shredded
  • 24 ounces macaroni pasta cooked
  • 2 packages link sausage (130z) cut into bite sized pieces
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • 2 cups milk
  1. Grate all the cheese, divide into 2 equal parts. Cook the macaroni according to the directions on the package.
  2. Melt the butter in a glass dish in the microwave.

  3. Add 1/4 cup flour, salt, and peper and mix to make a roux. 

  4. Add 2 cups of milk to the roux and return to the microwave.  Microwave in one minute increments, stirring in between, until it starts to bubble and thicken. 

  5. Once your sauce is thick, stir in 1/2 of the grated cheese.
  6. Drain the cooked pasta, add it to a 9x13 casserole dish. Add the sausage, stir in the sauce.
  7. Sprinkle the rest of the grated cheese on top. Bake at 375 for 15 minutes. Everything is already cooked, you are just melding it all together.
