Road trip medical emergencies can be met with a simple car emergency kit, but what do you do when it’s bigger than that?

Road trip medical emergencies are inevitable, right? With summer coming up, we are making some big plans, and with our family of 6, we will have a big road trip thrown in there. I try to be thorough in my organization, but sometimes, I just fall short! In some form or another, someone in the car is bound to suffer from any number of ailments, here is what we’ve experienced:

  • sunburn
  • bug bites
  • headache
  • nausea
  • sore throat
  • hang nail
  • scuffed knee

And that’s just minor injuries! We keep a box of items like Neosporin, band-aids, sunscreen, bug spray in a box in our car for road trip emergencies, but we can’t keep the whole pharmacy in the back of our mini van, now can we?  For needs that we just can’t store in the care, I feel comfort in knowing there are MinuteClinics all over the country we can stop into for over-the-counter items as well as more professional needs when on road trips.  There are over 1,000 locations in the US, offering walk-in care 7 days a week with evening and weekend hours. When traveling, just pull up the app, and you can locate a CVS on your route, and even see how long the wait would be/hold your place in line. I’ve partnered with CVS Pharmacy to share this post.
