With school quickly approaching, and the rush of weeknight activities all a flurry, I’ve got to get more serious about my meal planning. One of my favorite quick and easy meals is just to cook some meatballs and plop them on the table with a bag of fruit and a bag of veggies, too. However, my kids love it when I add a little sauce and noodles to the mix, and really, it doesn’t take that much extra effort for more flavor, with Ragu® Spaghetti and Pasta Sauces.
I took my daughters on a shopping trip with me to Sam’s Club to get our groceries. So far, they enjoy accompanying me on trips like this.
My oldest loves steering the cart, and as long as I don’t get clipped at the ankle, I love it, too! Her sister often wants to help, and sometimes hop into the giant cart. However, I know that big sister will have a harder time pushing if little sister is sitting inside, and since I enjoy roaming without pushing, I banned the luxury ride this time.
{Don’t you just love looking in others grocery carts? I do!}
I love that I can buy in bulk at Sams Club, I’ve been doing it for YEARS! I remember when I was younger, land a trip to “Sams” from our suburb New Orleans home, was a drive across Lake Pontchartrain, but my Sams Club here is just a 10 minute drive, it’s so convenient (and I’ve printed family pictures there for a long time, too).
My girls also get excited to pull items off the shelf, I can’t wait til I can send them with a list to go to the store, while I prop my feet up and eat bon-bons (because that’s what stay at home mom’s do, right?)
{What do you think about the socks and sandals? We just finished at a trampoline place just before}
FYI: Ragu® offers an assortment of delicious flavors with more than a full serving of veggies in every half-cup of their spaghetti and pasta sauce. My kids all love it, which makes my life much more pleasant at meal time!
Once we got home, my girls had fun making the dinner, and they could have done it all on their own, too! I use frozen meatballs, and my daughter helped me arrange them into a dish, pour the sauce over it, we then baked it for about 20 minutes on 350 (until the sauce is bubbling). While that cooked, we boiled noodles, and voila! Easy dinner for busy nights!
Easy dinner with 3 simple ingredients:
- frozen meatballs
- Ragu® sauce
- noodles
