Back to School Teacher Gift: Apple Post It Note + Printable

I can’t believe that in some states, school has already started!! We don’t go back until the last week of August, so I’ve still got some time to play with my kids before they are gone all day again.  When I saw this cute Apple post-it note dispenser, I thought it would be a great Back to School Teacher gift for my kids teachers. Every teacher needs post it notes, right?  And it’s tradition to give your teacher an apple…

Emily at The Benson Street organized a handful of bloggers to share some fun back to school ideas! See the bottom of this post for a sneak peek at those projects!

My elementary school kids have what is called a Welcome Walk.

About a week before school starts, the families are told to stay home in a 2 hour window, as the kids peer out the window and await the arrival of their new teacher–whom they do not know yet-we prep a little gift to give them upon their arrival. It is a time filled with anxiety (for me) and excitement (for both) when our fate is determined of who our children’s’ teacher will be for the year.  We’ve been blessed with some great teachers, I’m so grateful for that!! Who will our teachers be this year???

My girls head to elementary (my youngest in kinder–agh!!) while my boys are in middle school. No welcome walk for those boys.

I enlisted the help of my clever designer friend at C dot Love, and she created this cute printable for me!  Whether you pick up a red or a green dispenser (or both) you can use one of the two printable color options.

If you’d like to buy the same post-it note dispenser, I found both red and green on Amazon (affiliate link).

I’ve got lots of fun Back to School ideas, most popular are the Kids Lunch Jokes and Brain Teasers.

  1. I love this idea! I always want to do something for the teachers, and never know what to do. This is a cute one, and everyone can use post-its. Thanks!

(And my baby is in kinder this year too! Sad, but excited on that.)

  2. I’m a teacher… and I usually hate this stuff… but your stuff is smart and cute!!!! Well Done!

  3. I love this! Would it be possible to get this to say “your teacher” instead of student? I would love to do this for my students with a notebook.

  4. I was a “joy” meeting you today in person at the Frozen Camp. I was literally star struck! ;) hahaha
Its nice knowing that our 11 year old boys will be going to the same school together. I want to cry like I did when I sent him off to kindergarten. I’m not accepting the fact that I have a middle schooler very well. I love how your elementary school does a welcome walk. That is awesome! Hope to see you around again soon!
