Portrait Sessions faq’s:
What is natural light photography? I remember seeing this years ago when I was just getting started and laughed at this phrase because I knew that was the best light–in the natural setting. The more I looked around at photographers, I realized that to call yourself a natural light photographer, you really have to know and understand the light and how to work it. I don’t care for flash, and use the beauty of the sun as my main source of light.Â
Do you have a studio? No. Backdrops aren’t my style, but if that is what you desire, I can recommend a few great local photographers.
How far in advance should I book? October, November, April, and May are super busy. 6 weeks in advance is best, but sometimes last minute shoots are my favorite if I’m available!
Do you sell digital files? Yes, I sell digital collections with files and prints in varying sizes.
What happens to the files I don’t purchase? Archived onto a disc.
What payment do you accept? Personal check or credit cards via paypal.
How long does it take to see/get my portraits? A few days after your session, I will post a sneak peek on my blog. Within 1 week of your session, you will view your gallery for up to 7 days before it expires. Once your order is placed, there is a 2 week turn around time to have your portraits in hand.
How do I schedule a newborn session when I don’t know when the baby will be born? A newborn session needs to be booked around the 37th week of pregnancy. I will keep my schedule flexible for the due date time period in order to capture that bundle within the first 2 weeks of life.
Do you shoot weddings? Technically, no. But occasionally, yes. I like to travel to new places and will do a wedding if thats what gets me out. Locally, rarely. Mainly because my family comes first and I don’t like to book myself too far in advance.
