December is already a HUGE whirlwind for me!! I meant to do a photo tip yesterday, but I had so many other deadlines, I had to let the blog post go! So watch for it this week…maybe later today.
I got to test out these Betty Crocker Instant Mashed Potatoes, and I wanted to share. I LOOOOOOVE mashed potatoes, and just last week I stood with my sister in law at a sink peeling a huge bag of whole potatoes. It took a long time. That’s ok everyone once in a while, but call me lazy, that’s like a once a year thing. I remember my mom used to cook with potato flakes, and let me say that these instant potatoes that I made in the microwave were FAST, EASY, and DELICIOUS!!
I went for the microwave method, which was to put a little water, milk, butter, and the flakes inside the pouch in a glass dish with saran wrap on the top, with a vented corner. It took about 2 minutes–my kind of cooking to accompany the weeknight meal, as a perfect pairing to our main dish. I also roasted some brussels sprouts to eat with it!
I sprinkled a little seasoning on top, and voila!
