One of my favorite appetizers of all time is a 7 layer dip. I don’t think I ever tried it until I was in college, and I fell in love. Hard. The only big problem I have with it (generally speaking), is that it often has salsa or some form of onions inside of it, so if that’s the case, I just can’t do it. In case you didn’t know, I have a strong aversion to onions. I know, I know, how can I even enjoy food, right? I hear it all the time. I survive just fine, thank you. I’ll add onion salt or powder if I really feel it needs a boost, but otherwise, I fill my recipes with other flavors. Today, I share this unique 7 layer dip recipe, with my own little twist on it.

A unique ingredient I used is the layer of corn. I also love to mix Old El Paso seasoning with the Old El Paso refried beans layer, to give it an extra kick. I partnered with Old El Paso and Albertsons to share this recipe today, to encourage you to Spice Up Your Game, that is…the big football game coming up, what do the call it? The Super Bowl?

I can’t have anything Mexican without a side of limes. Limes are my fave. I could bath in lime juice. For this recipe, they get squeezed in to the non-onion-ified guacamole layer.

Just take a serving spoon, and scoop all the way to the bottom of the trifle dish, to grab each layer. You can also put them into a 9×13 casserole dish as an alternative serving option.

I partnered with Albertons and Old El Paso for this post, but all opinions are my own.

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Albertsons. The opinions and text are all mine.
