Today is my oldest daughters birthday, and I wanted to share a little tribute to her. Man, I love this girl and her spunk and energy and heart. She accompanied me to an engagement photo session, and we took some stolen moments to capture her in her essence here and there. I love this little collection of shots. I wish I took more time to capture my kids with my “big fancy” camera, but it makes theses images all the more special to me.
Since she is 10 today, here are 10 things I love about her:
- She totally gets that modest is hottest, and is more concerned about it than her mother.
- She loves to read out loud to me, and is an excellent orator (ask her teacher’s that brag to me about her vocal reading skills).
- She is wise beyond her years, she gets things about people, that adults struggle with.
- She is sensitive to the needs of others, observant of actions of others.
- She is very artistic and creative, and I love to see her artwork.
- She didn’t bat an eye when I suggested she really shouldn’t have an Instagram account yet (my bad) and that she could just LOOK and not POST for a while.
- She talks with me about maturing and relationships and the complexities of life like it’s no big deal. I love her open-ness.
- She loves colorful converse, which makes my heart soar. She also lets me take pictures of her and poses as I instruct.
- She’s amazing at hairstyles, and loves to be creative with her hair (I’m too lazy).
- She is one determined girl. She pushes herself to learn new skills until she nails it. I’m not that patient.
Those are her true blue’s, sun-kissed face, with a touch of lippy color, this girl is fresh beauty.
