Creamy Spaghetti Carbonara is a super quick and easy meal. We love the cream sauce made with heavy whipping cream, with green peas, and bacon!!

creamy spaghetti carbonaraCreamy Spaghetti Carbonara is a delicious twist on the traditional spaghetti recipe, and is a family favorite of ours. You boil spaghetti noodles just like usual, but make a cream sauce out of parmesan and eggs instead. Throw in some bacon, and you’ve got a slice of heaven. Add some peas, and you’ve got some nice green texture. Those peas are slathered in cream, so it’s all good, no kids complaining. This cream sauce though, is made from the good stuff, heavy whipping cream. Cream is a tasty source of healthy fat, better than that jar stuff!

Creamy Spaghetti Carbonara

My husband and daughter were excellent sous-chefs in preparing this meal. I’m grateful my family is willing to help, most of the time. Below, breaking up the bacon for me (yes, I needed 2 pounds, we are a family of SIX with 2 teen boys!)

Creamy Spaghetti Carbonara

Delicious family meal, easy to assemble and loved by all.

  • 1 lb Signature Kitchens spaghetti noodles
  • 2 lb Signature Farms bacon, cooked, crumbled
  • 1 T Signature SELECT olive oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1-12 ounce bag frozen peas
  • 1.5 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 cup Signature Kitchens Grated Parmesan & Romano Cheese
  • 1/4 tsp garlic salt

Cook noodles till al dente. Cook bacon till crispy, then chop and set aside. While noodles cook, use a fork to beat the eggs, cream, 1 cup (half) of the parmesan, salt, pepper, garlic salt together in a bowl. Drain pasta, while still warm, add the olive oil. Pour cream mixture into pasta. Add peas and bacon. Top with remaining parmesan (reserve some bacon and peas for top if you’re looking for presentation).
