Creamy Spaghetti Carbonara is a super quick and easy meal. We love the cream sauce made with heavy whipping cream, with green peas, and bacon!!
Creamy Spaghetti Carbonara is a delicious twist on the traditional spaghetti recipe, and is a family favorite of ours. You boil spaghetti noodles just like usual, but make a cream sauce out of parmesan and eggs instead. Throw in some bacon, and you’ve got a slice of heaven. Add some peas, and you’ve got some nice color and texture too. And those peas are slathered in cream, so it’s all good. No kids complaining. This cream sauce though, is made from the good stuff, heavy whipping cream. Cream is a tasty source of healthy fat, better than that jar stuff!
My husband and daughter were excellent sous-chefs in preparing this meal. I’m grateful my family is willing to help, most of the time. Below, breaking up the bacon for me. And yes, I needed 2 pounds to fee our family of SIX with 2 teen boys!
