You won’t even realize this healthy granola recipe has no sugar, it’s THAT good! I have loved the Whole Foods granola for years, but never thought to look for a copycat recipe. I found one that used coconut oil and maple syrup as sweeteners, and I went a few steps beyond and added honey and my favorite almond extract to make what I think is the PERFECT healthy granola recipe.
Generally, in January, we are all thinking about ways to eat healthier and exercise more. I am USUALLY feeling this way, but can’t seem to break the holiday funk of eating all the treats! This healthy granola recipe FEELS like a treat to me, so it’s a win-win!
Healthy Granola Recipe
For the past few years, we’ve used coconut oil whenever possible in cooking and baking.
I went to my local Randalls and got all of the O Organics® ingredients I could find for this recipe. I love that Randalls offers delicious, quality, organic ingredients at a much lower price than most stores. The O Organics line is available exclusively in my area at my local Albertsons and Randalls, and you can also find them at all of the Albertsons Companies family of stores, including ACME Markets, Safeway, Jewel-Osco, Vons, Pavilions, Tom Thumb, Shaw’s, Star Market, United Express, United and Carrs/Safeway. Albertsons and Randalls believe that great-tasting organic food should be available to everyone at a great value. The just for U avings program is pretty fantastic, lots of 10 for $10 items, and at the end of the transaction, $15 came off of my bill, love that!

Healthy Granola Recipe

Delicious and healthy homemade granola recipe
- 2 cups O Organics® old-fashioned oates
- 1/2 cup slivered almonds
- 1/2 cup whole cashews
- 1/4 cup coconut flakes
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup O Organics® maple syrup
- 1/2 cup O Organics® coconut oil melted
- 1/4 cup O Organics® honey
- 1 tsp almond extract
- 1/2 cup O Organics® Dried cranberries
-
Preheat oven to 300F degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
-
Toss the oats, almonds, cashews, coconut flakes, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl. Set aside. In another bowl, whisk the maple syrup, coconut oil, and honey together until combined. Whisk in the almond extract. Pour over the oats and stir until its all coated.
-
Spread onto the prepped baking sheet and bake for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. Allow granola to cool completely. As it cools it will crunchify! Toss with cranberries (or chocolate chips if you'd like!)
-
Eat with milk for breakfast, toss on top of yogurt or ice cream for a snack, or each from a bag like a trail mix!
-
Store this in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 weeks. You can also freeze it for up to 3 months.
The only thing you really have to think about is to be around for 45 minutes, I just set my timer for 15 minutes, 3 times.
PIN this to save for later, you won’t regret it!
