I don’t know about all of you, but I don’t have a problem consuming fruit. So when I challenged myself to a smoothie a day in January, it was all about the greens.  I NEED more green in my life! This Strawberry Green Smoothie Recipe is a great way to throw in some fruit, some green, and blend it on up!

Strawberry Green Smoothie Recipe, great way to start your day in a healthy way.

I’ve been doing some investigating, and though a lot of people like to add in protein powder, I like to keep mine more to fresh ingredients. I get the protein from the yogurt, and creaminess from almond milk and avocado. Have you tried an avocado in your smoothie?? YUM!  I also love the flavor of coconut oil.

If your kids are like mine, they often turn up their noses as the green stuff, but if I let them know it’s packed with strawberries, and ask them to give it a chance, they comply fairly well, and get over their initial thoughts.

  1. I’m definitely trying this soon! Thanks for sharing this Kristen! I’m curious, how do you freeze the leftover? (What do you put it in and how do you prepare it to drink it later?)

  3. I did a green smoothie challenge for a month. I received a different recipe for every day. Some of them were fantastic, and others were–well, not so great. This one sounds delicious, and you really cannot go wrong with strawberries I haven’t tried an avocado, though. But man, talk about a healthy shake!

Avocado’s make it creamier! It would get tricky to do a new recipe every day, but at least you learn variety, I think that’s whats important with smoothies.
