Today is my oldest sons birthday, and I thought I’d share a recipe I made recently that he loved! (Check instagram for birthday pictures) I’ve had my share of picky eating around here, but for the most part my kids eat the meals I make pretty well. I have, however, been disappointed at their dis interest in so many different desserts I’ve made.  But as my son gets older, he likes more and more, and it’s making me so happy!  This Triple Pumpkin Spice Krispie Treat Cake was right up his alley!
Why do I say triple?
I used pumpkin spice M&M’s, pumpkin spice chocolate chips, and pumpkin spice wilton melting chocolate drizzled on top. I recently made a cake similar to the Candy Corn Krispie Cake I found online (check out that amazing post), but I changed the colors with purple and green (see it on my Instagram). Â When I walked by the pumpkin spice wilton melts I had in my pantry and wasn’t sure what to do with, I immediately decided I wanted to make a different kind of Krispie cake. Â I also already had the pumpkin spice M&M’s as well as the small chips. I didn’t have to go buy anything for this! Of course it’s random that I had those on hand, but I was thinking I’d use them for some sort of baking adventure.
I made my krispie’s with extra marshmallow as I learned from Kami at No Biggie in her best krispie treat post.
I drizzled white, then the pumpkin spice melting chocolate on top.

- 5 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- 1.5 bags mini marshmallows
- 3 T melted butter
- 1 heaping cup pumpkin spice M&M's
- 1/2 cup pumpkin spice chips
- 1/4 cup pumpkin spice Wilton candy melts
- 1/4 cup white melting chocolate
-
Melt butter in sauce pan, add marshmallows and cook til just barely melted.
-
Pour melted butter and marshmallows into bowl with Krispie cereal waiting.
-
Add in Wilton melting chocolates as you stir.
-
Once more solid, add M&M's and pumpkin chips.
-
Pour into buttered bundt pan.
-
Sprinkle more chips and M&M's into layers.
-
Let it sit to solidify, or freeze for faster results (10 minutes)
-
Flip cake out of pan and drizzle with white melting chocolate, then pumpkin spice melting chocolate.
-
The white melting chocolate makes a later between the krispie cake and the pumpkin spice chocolate.
-
Serve in slices.
And the colors are just so pretty, I had to take lots of pictures!
Now, about my son, he’s the perfect oldest child. So responsible, so sweet, so thoughtful, quick to apologize, and so concerned about my needs as a momma, which means SO much to me! He relaxes me when I’m stressed, and was so amazing on our road trip where I drove all by myself–a great co-captain! Â The pic below is of us camping last year. It’s blurry, from my phone, but I love it. He is my buddy. I love him so much! See my insta today for more pics of this amazing boy.
Now, back to the dessert. I took a lot of pictures…
And there you have it! A fun fall treat!!
