Welcome to the RED post, where I share ideas on What to Wear in Family Pictures with the color RED! This is part of a greater series all about colors in family pictures, see the intro post on that link for more great ideas.
I think everyone has worn a little red in family photos, because they are often taken for Christmas cards. Red is classic, and generally loved by all.

Here is a fun little video I put together to give you a visual for what to wear in family pictures:
Red, with blue, and happy. Click to see more images, love their layering with accessories.
Bright Red My extended family. Everyone was told to wear black, red, and gray in any way you’d like. Looks great to me!
Traditional Red Give me a covered bridge decorated for the holiday, and give me joy. Cute red tie togethers.
Red & Black. I loved this session (click the link to see the pillow fight). LOVE moms socks and daughters tights, so fun!
Red & Blue Love the touch of red in moms necklace and daughters bow.
Holiday Red My family, the red shoes made it fun, scarf, and of course the blanket ties it all together (lick link for more)
Dark Red Red and blue bold colors in a snowstorm–need I say more? Yes, these clothes and setting are fabulous.
Red with navy. Love that plaid coat, how it is central to the color scheme. Click on link to see more…I wonder who took that picture…
Crimson Fibrant and fabulous red. I love that although mom and daughter both have red jackets, the stripes under the girl make them look different.
Ruby Red with blue and white
Red and black and white. It’s hard to tell, but mom had red heels in this image (click the link to see them better in other shots), along with dad’s tie, and baby red/black dress, the colors look great. Simple. Classic. Clean.
Love the red pants, stripes, and undershirt peeking out.
Love this red and turquoise!! Jackets and scarves make it fun.
