I’ve got a new family dinner idea you can try, my latest random creation, the Ham and Cheese Pretzel Roll Casserole, with a greek yogurt honey mustard sauce that is so delicious! Wow, that’s a mouthful of a title, isn’t it?
Have you ever had the Turkey O’Tooele sandwich from the now closed down Bennigans? It was my all time favorite dish there, and I’ve seen a handful of copycat recipes for it on the internet. Â I looked at recipes for the sauce, and saw lots of sour cream. I’ve been substituting greek yogurt for sour cream lately, so was hopeful that would taste just as good, and it does!
But first, I’m not a fan of making a tray full of mini sandwiches or sliders for dinner. I thought, instead of making a bunch of individuals sandwiches, I’d break apart the pretzel rolls (I get ’em at Costco) and throw in dices ham and swiss cheese, and cook it all together. It worked beautifully!
As a REAL® Seal  Ambassador this month, we were asked to share a recipe with a dip, and though I drizzled the sauce over the casserole to cook, I also had it on the side for the fam to dip and add more if they desired.
I’m a big fan of the health benefits of REAL milk, and am loving substituting greek yogurt into recipes to make them more healthy.
You see how the ham is perfectly chopped up? Yeah, it’s because I buy it that way. I need shortcuts wherever I can get them. Â But lets talk about these pretzel rolls. They are amazing.
Here is the simple recipe, all done in under 30 minutes!

- 10-12 pretzel rolls
- 1 cup of cubed ham
- 6-8 slices swiss cheese
- 1 cup greek yogurt
- 2 T honey
- 2 T mustard
-
Turn oven to 350
-
melt butter or spray dish with butter spray
-
Slice or break up the pretzel rolls, layer in the casserole dish
-
spread ham on top
-
spread cheese slices over the top of that
-
Cook in oven for 10-15 minutes until warmed, and rolls are slightly crunchy
-
Meanwhile, mix the greek yogurt, honey, and mustard together on the side
-
Drizzle yogurt mixture onto casserole and let cook 5 minutes until warm
-
Serve wish leftover yogurt sauce on the side
Please let me know if you try it, I’d love to hear!
