These scrumptious pumpkin pie squares are so easy to make. The base is a cake mix! My teenage friend Kaylee shared it with me, a favorite of their family, a dessert they make over and over in the fall. I can see this quickly becoming a Duke Family favorite, as well!
Pumpkin flavored treats like my favorite pumpkin chocolate chip muffins are some of my favorite! And I love them even more when they are easy to throw together like these pumpkin pie squares! The base of this treat is a yellow cake mix. I like to keep a box around because I use it for things like my blackberry cobbler dump cake. Cake mix desserts make prep so simple!
The crust is made with just two ingredients, the cake mix and butter. Then the filling is similar to a regular pumpkin pie. Pumpkin, egg, cinnamon, sugar, and evaporated milk. it comes together so quickly you will be embarrassed how delicious they are!
