I am so happy and excited to share with you the details about my new FOTOstrap Camera Strap—I am in LOVE! {Read the whole post, you could win one!} My old camera strap was seriously grating on me the past year. I’d had it for probably 3 years, and besides the fact that I was tired and over the pattern, it was pretty dirty and worn around the neck. I mean, who washes their camera straps? I probably should have, but it’s a pain to un-strap them from the camera…I digress.
Be Your Own Kind of Beautiful Free Printable

When I was growing up, my church would often share thoughtful quotes called MormonADs with images in the youth magazine we’d get each month. One of my very favorites (from 1986) that I had a poster hanging in my room was this Be Your Own Kind of Beautiful quote and scripture from 1 Samual 16:7 which says, “the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh… Continue Reading
Pink Wood Planked Walls

I knew I wanted to use hot pink for my Girls Fancy Room Makeover, because they love it so much (so do I). I’d describe what was in my head to my friends (creative bloggers and locals) and I’d get this look of….”Oh, that sounds interesting.” I fell in LOVE with the wood planked wall look and had seen it a lot for accent walls, but wanted to fill the room with more of it… Continue Reading
Cashew Chicken Stir Fry

I made this Cashew Chicken Stir Fry recipe a few years ago for my hubby’s birthday–he loves a good Stir Fry. I was actually pregnant and quite nauseous, but I wanted to make a special meal for his special day. I remember making it and loving it, but I didn’t make it for a long time after. The memory just didn’t sit well. I had it in my recipe binder, and have made it from… Continue Reading
Austin Texas Teen Photography

It was such a delight to photograph this cute girl, as I photographed her sister’s Senior Pictures two years ago. She is beautiful, and I loved her sense of style. I asked my teens to bring a car full of favorite outfits, and I help select those that will photograph well with the backgrounds we’ll use. Here is a sampling of her session Tweet
My Easter Mantel with World Market

I’m just going to admit right now, that Easter is my least favorite holiday to decorate for. It’s not that I don’t love the meaning behind the holiday…but I don’t really care for bunnies. I know, call me heartless. I also don’t care as much for pastels, so for my Easter mantel, I decided to go for more bold colors, and I found some fun stuff at World Market! I had just a few Easter… Continue Reading
Missionary Service

{The first Sunday of each month, I’ve decided to share something spiritual in nature. My religion is a HUGE part of who I am and how I live my life, and I’d feel un-authentic not sharing. If you are not interested in reading….I’ll never know if you click the “x” now, but if you have something to say at the end, please show kindness and respect in my little spot of the web.} When I… Continue Reading
