I’ve been dreaming of this day for over six months, to be finished with my Girls Bedroom Makeover and reveal and share it with all of you! If you remember back last fall, I begged everyone I knew to vote for my girls in a room makeover. We were in the top ten, and they made the cutest little video with a song that we’ve been singing for 6 months….”We need our room to be, the cutest that you’re ever ever gonna see” (to the tune of Katy Perry’s This is a part of Me). With each little element we’ve placed in their room, my youngest keeps saying, “Our room is going to be soooo cute” and as I tucked them into bed last night, I finally said, “Your room is DONE!” We laid in the bed and looked around, I couldn’t stop smiling. I love it so much, and I’m so happy that they do, too.
Enjoy lots of fun pictures, and in the coming days, I’ll share tutorials and tips on how I put together each element. So keep checking back!
Just for fun, here is a before and after side by side:
To get a feel for the room in action, I made a little video tour of the room! {Click the play button to watch}
I’ll be sharing posts in the next few days, but for now, view these links for more info:

How do your daughters manage sharing a bed?
I think my favourtites are the bunting and the wooden sign on top of the window.
WELL DONE!
Yay, so glad you love the bunting and wooden sign! They are small still, so share a bed just fine. It does have a top bunk that we can attach later if they run out of room!
Awesome! Amazing! Incredible!! You are so good!!! Congrats to all of you for pulling it off so splendidly!
My favorite is the lantern… but the entire room is amazing!!
I’m so happy to hear you love the lantern, and the whole room. I’m so glad the room is DONE!
It turned out AMAZING! What lucky little girls you have! 🙂
thank you so much, Coley!!
You did a great job pulling it all together! My favorite part is the inspirational quotes!!
Thank you, Jacqueline! I hope the quotes sink in by staring at them enough!

What a cute, fun room! Lucky little girls!
Wow Kristen! You guys did an amazing job. I am sure they are loving their new room!!
The ceiling is beautiful surprise! And the sign that says, “your once upon a time is now” – love it!
My daughter would LOVE this room! I love the pink and turquoise, and that bunting is adorable!
Their room looks beautiful, Kristen!!! I love it and all the creative ideas you incorporated – it’s just amazing!
This is such a beautiful room! I love it. I have three boys and 1 girl (girl is 7, 2nd oldest) and I wish so much that she had a sister to share a room with. Of course, she wishes the same. On your gallery wall post, I had to chuckle when you said you worried about the 4 year age difference between your girls. I would just love, love, love to have two girls, no matter what the age difference. Sisters are the best! Anyhow… I really love the planked wall and look forward to your tutorial. I am hoping to talk my husband into doing a plank wall soon, maybe even this week. I’m curious about what kind of material/wood you used. As always, your pictures and quotes are all beautiful! Love the sign over the window! I will have to copy that. Great job!
I love the fun use of color – I bet she loves her room!
it looks amazing, kristen. love all the color!:)
Looks fab, friend! Love it!! Your girls are in heaven, for sure!! XO
Kristen, everything looks amazing! I love the bright colors and the pennant banner. Great job, friend!
So inspiring! Such a precious room for your little girls!
Kristen this is so incredible, what a fabulous makeover!
Oh my cute! I have two girls that share a room as well. They used to share a queen, but we did some rearranging of beds and now they have two twins and I am trying to find something cute for them. (Pinterest is so fun for that, but I don’t know how to work with wood yet, but I am trying to get brave) They would love so many aspects of that room! I personally love the way you made the walls look! I think I’d like to try that in my kitchen (of course not pink:) Such a great job! I am sure I will be back to get some inspiration. We are working with a cute blue pallet. Hoping to get going on some ideas now the weather is getting better in Idaho to take stuff out to paint!
Wow – so bright and colourful! My mom would never have let me have these colours!!!
So pretty
xox

Thank you so much Andrea, it really means a lot to hear back from everyone after all of my work, but the biggest prize is my girls adoration!
You haven’t posted about your weight loss lately – you look great! Where do you keep all the clothes for the 2 girls!?
Funny you mention it…I’m posting about my weight loss on Thursday–my one year anniversary!! I keep the girls clothes in their HUGH closet! I have another dresser in there along with space to hang, then the one dresser out in the room.
This is totally adorable! I love the bright, girly colors, the bunting, the fun frames, everything! I found you at Lil’ Luna– thanks for sharing!
