My girls and I hosted a Flamingo Pineapple Party, and it’s the perfect bright and cheery summer theme! With games and activities, a great mother daughter party.

Flamingo Pineapple PartyA Flamingo Pineapple Party is filled with pink, yellow, and green at the center, and I always love to include edible art in the way of a cake and other treats. The gorgeous cake at the center of our decor was created by Paige’s Bakehouse, and I ADORE it, along with the cute cake pops a friend made. A bunch of the decorations I found on Oriental Trading Company online, and I partnered with them. I also found some on Amazon. I’ve already shared a bunch of posts about the party, you’ll have to check all of those out.

Flamingo Pineapple Party

This all started when I was planning my daughter’s 12th birthday party, which ended up being her Golden Birthday Party. She was turning 12 on the 12th and at first wanted to do a Harry Potter party, and I suggest a GOLDEN twist on that, then she said she just wanted it simple, less of a theme, so we just went with the gold idea. As I was looking for ideas, I came across some pineapple party ideas, and I almost wanted to convince her to do a pineapple party. I laughingly suggested it, and she shot me down.

Then I thought…how can I do a pineapple party? Then I thought…hey, my birthday is in July, I can totally throw my own birthday party! So I went with that, then thought it would be fun to do a mother daughter party instead of just my friends, so I invited a handful of my closest friends and they just so happened to have daughters, too. Of course in the summertime, lots of people are traveling, so a few good friends were out of town. I loved pineapples, but kinda wanted to do pink pineapples, then saw the flamingos and thoughts, I LOVE flamingos, lets just do a flamingo pineapple party. Totally makes sense how it all came together, right?

Even though in my heart it was in honor of my 39th birthday, and I was totally fine throwing my own party, I didn’t want to call it a birthday party to my friends, because I don’t like that gift obligation, even when I say “no gifts.” So, it was simply a Mother Daughter Flamingo Pineapple Party, you know…because it’s summer and why not?!?

Luckily I was thinking of it in June, and I reached out to Oriental Trading Company, and they sent me a handful of items on my wish list, and others I found on Amazon. I like shopping from home on my computer. I explained about the games and activities on the Mother Daughter Party post, so check that out. This post is going to be all about the eye candy from here on out. I had SO MUCH FUN putting this party table together!

Thankfully, my friend Shelley came over 2 days before and helped me get the lanterns hung (I’ve had a bunch of colors for years and recycle them from past parties), and drape some other decorations around.

Without further adieu, here are the resources where I shared more about the Flamingo Pineapple Party:
